LUCIA AND MAIA IN SKAMOKAWA

This photoshoot was styled, directed, and shot on film by me. It takes place on a commune in rural Washington, owned and operated by Maia’s dad. It features current trends and silhouettes such as polka dots, tutus, stripes, and colored tights. The divergence between the models and the rustic pastoral setting in which it takes place aims to create visual contrast. It allows the viewer to contemplate the distinction between tradition and modernity in fashion, and gives them space to think about the way that they are influenced by modern fads.
